One Oh Four - A Studio for everyone

At One Oh Four, we built our cyc wall with a simple idea in mind: make things easy without reducing intention.

A cyc wall is a foundational tool in visual production, but too often it comes with barriers that include long setups, complicated lighting grids, or assumptions about who the space is “for.” We wanted to change that. By designing a cyc wall that is pre-lit, we’re not removing the craft of lighting, we’re creating a strong, reliable starting point.

The pre-lit setup gives creators a clean, balanced base the moment they step in. From there, it’s fully flexible. Lighting color and intensity are controllable via iPad, making it easy to fine-tune the look, match brand palettes, or shift the mood without slowing the workflow. It’s a system built to support both precision and experimentation.

Equally important is accessibility. This cyc wall isn’t just for large crews or high-end commercial shoots. Professionals with cinema cameras, small teams with mirrorless setups, and individuals shooting on their phones all deserve access to a space that treats their work seriously. The gear doesn’t define the value—the idea does.

Planning still matters here. Many projects benefit from careful prep, testing, and refinement, and the space fully supports that process. At the same time, not every shoot needs complexity. Sometimes you just need an environment that’s dependable, adaptable, and ready to meet you where you are.

Being located in City of Decatur is part of that experience too. The neighborhood is full of great restaurants, bars, and places to unwind, perfect for grabbing a bite before a shoot, celebrating after a long day, or talking through ideas away from the lights. Creativity doesn’t always happen on set, and we like being surrounded by spaces that encourage it.

Ultimately, we built this cyc wall to be supportive, not prescriptive. Quietly professional. Fully flexible. And here whenever you need it.
